Description of Works

Caley were appointed to upgrade the footpaths of the East side of the Belltower along London Road and the Gallowgate. We uplifted and replaced Kerbing, and re tarred while keeping traffic and pedestrian disruption to a minimum. This works was major part of the cycle route for the Commonwealth Games.  Road Marking works also included marking of road side parking spaces along the route.

A section of this work was done over the subway line, which we were informed was very close to the surface, and we had to remodel a 4 way lighting junction, change a one way system and pedestrianize a section of road which required the movement of a live bus stop; all of which was a substantial Traffic Management challenge that we achieved.
